Faultline Brewing Company and Laughing Monk are joining forces! With locations in Sunnyvale, Scotts Valley and a taproom in San Francisco's Bayview neighborhood, Laughing Monk Brewery and Gastropub will offer uniquely delicious beers, modern comfort food and handcrafted cocktails. Laughing Monk beer can be found at any Whole Foods in the Bay Area and is also available at Kaiser Permanente Center through a new partnership with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Faultline is getting a new name and a slightly updated menu. Our staff and commitment to serving the best food, beer, and cocktails and delivering phenomenal customer experiences remains the same.
With this expansion, Laughing Monk Brewing will now have full service restaurant locations in Sunnyvale and Scotts Valley in addition to the taproom in San Francisco's Bayview neighborhood. Laughing Monk beers will continue to be available at 500+ locations across the bay area and now they will also be available at Kaiser Permanente Center through a partnership with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
With distribution across the Bay Area, there was tremendous brand recognition for Laughing Monk Brewing. Combining Laughing Monk's existing distribution with Faultline's marquee restaurant locations in Scotts Valley and Sunnyvale provides a strong opportunity for even more growth. Laughing Monk Brewery and Gastropub honors Faultline's legacy of delivering the best food, beers and cocktails for all of the communities we serve.
In the coming weeks, we'll start rolling out an updated menu and changing our brand marks across locations and materials. We expect the changes to be complete by December 1, 2023.
Coinciding with the brand change, we're taking the opportunity to update the menus to be more cohesive. The new "super menu" is intended to offer favorite items - such as the Roasted Portobello Sandwich, the Bacon Turkey Sando and the Nashville Chicken Sandwich - at both locations. For example:
- Bacon Turkey Sando: Smoked gouda, sprouts, tomato, onion, garlic mayo, fries. Originally offered only in Scotts Valley; will now be available in Sunnyvale as well.
- Roasted Portobello: Caramelized onion, spinach, honey goat cheese, balsamic mayo, fries. Originally offered only in Scotts Valley; will now be available in Sunnyvale as well.
- Nashville Chicken Sandwich: Nashville battered fried chicken, coleslaw, pickles, toasted bun. Originally offered only in Sunnyvale; will now be available at Scotts Valley as well.
What's happening to the location in San Francisco's Bayview neighborhood? Will there be a full menu?
The Bayview taproom will remain open, serving 20 beers on tap and light snacks.
Faultline's Kolsch, Redwood Ale, Hefe Weizen and Black Dragon Stout will continue to be available at Sunnyvale and Scotts Valley restaurant locations.
